Welcome: I hope you enjoy this site. There is a lot of work going on to get this up and running. I would like to request a few things, and that is: If you have any scanned pictures of patches (emblems) and would like to donate them, it would be greatly appreciated. Please send them in either .jpg or .gif format. But any format should do. You will notice that under the Group names and Squadron names, there will be either a "need patch" or "patch not authorized". If you see "need patch", this will be the unit I will be needing an insignia of. If you have an insignia from WWII, that will be great, but if you have a later insignia, that would be fine also. I will be doing a section on Korea and Viet Nam at a later date and I will probably be needing all the scanned donations I can get my hands on.
I have squadrons that "Air Force Combat Units of World War II" and "Combat Squadrons of the Air Force in World War II" would state the units/squadrons do not have any emblem, but when you have an individual from an organization of the unit you are working on saying they have emblems, WHO IS RIGHT? Mmmmmm.
